Assignments:

The reading assignments listed on this schedule are for the Hoppin text; in addition
     there will be occasional assignments, announced in class, dealing with periodical
     literature or specialized monographs, particularly in the early part of the course.
     Most of these will be primarily of a bibliographical nature.
The paper, due on 6 December, is to be an independent project on a topic of your
     own choosing. While there is no limitation on the topic that may be selected, you
     should make the choice by 30 October and submit it to the instructor for
     advisory approval.
Testing Accommodations for Academic Disabilities Any students requiring special testing accommodations due to a disability need to
     obtain the appropriate documentation from Disability Services and present that
     to the instructor by 18 September so that proper arrangements can be made.
