After thirty three years teaching with the University of Colorado as a grad student and then an Instructor, and Senior Instructor, I retired in 2014.  Married in 2012 to Tammy Armstrong, a Canadian poet who I met while on a writer’s residency in Paros, Greece, we moved last year to the south shore of Nova Scotia, where we are renovating a cottage in the lobster fishing village of Shag Harbour.


My poetry has been published in a number of online journals and print magazines, including The Atlantic Monthly, Poetry, Valparaiso, and The North American Review; and recently in Canadian journals such as Fiddlehead, Arc, Antigonish Review, and Slipstream, plus a number of poems translated from the Spanish.  Current links are available below.
