Host-plant associations: prairie sandreed, Calamovilfa longifolia, and giant sandreed, Calamovilfa gigantea (Whitcomb and Hicks 1988a).

Range of collection dates: 14 June–25 September.

Elevation range (approximate): ‍490–5700 feet.

Sources of Distribution Data: Published accounts, internet resources, and specimens in the collections of the United States National Museum, the University of Nebraska State Museum's Division of Entomology, the Mississippi Entomological Museum at Mississippi State University, and the University of Colorado Natural History Museum. Ranges of the two host grass species were created from data presented by BONAP's North American Plant Atlas and the Manual of Grasses for North America web demo (now defunct) of Utah State University's Intermountain Herbarium.
