Founded in 1915 and headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, Kiwanis International is a thriving organization of service- and community-minded men and women who support children and young adults worldwide. More than 8,500 Kiwanis clubs in more than 80 countries make their mark by responding to the needs of their communities and pooling their resources to address worldwide issues. Through these efforts, Kiwanis International is truly "Serving the Children of the World."

Kiwanis clubs view their role within their respective communities with a great deal of foresight. Key aspects in operating a club include:

Evaluating children's issues and community needs on an ongoing basis

Conducting service projects to respond to those identified needs

Maintaining an active membership roster of people who have the desire and ability to serve their community

The Kiwanis Club of the Golden Nugget meetings occur every Tuesday and offer an atmosphere of fun, learning and fellowship. Guest speakers provide an educational, informative experience for members. Everyone is invited to attend a meeting and join.
