Research

My research is in the field of nuclear theory. My Ph.D. work applied Chiral Perturbation Theory to extract the up-down quark mass difference. My dissertation and the three papers I published along the way can be viewed online.

More recently, my research interests lie in Lattice QCD. After working on charmed-baryon spectroscopy, I am currently involved in a project with Jefferson National Laboratories' theory group to make a first-principles determination of the masses and widths of pion-pion scattering resonances such as the rho meson. Our first paper in this project came out in July 2015.
