Here are the folks I've met in groups I've lead, coleaded, taught in, and facilitated, and that I promised to put on my web page. Please note: Names listed are not in the order you see in the pictures.

Who is this rowdy crowd? Jan. 6, 2001 on a sunny, windless, perfect day, Tom, Peter, Cindy and I taught 10 BMS students the tele turn and here they all are on the big mountain of Eldora ready to strutt their stuff. Pictured are the hot new tele skiers Walt, Kathryn, Rachel, Jake, Melody, Jim, Joe, Dan, Fiona, and Mark (hope that's all right!) and three of the teachers (I'm the photographer extraordinaire!). Hope they enjoy their new status as an elite group and hope they find some fine, fresh powder real soon!

January 13 - 15, 2001, CMC Fort Collins trip to Belvedere Hut. Friends, new and old, were there. Here's the group pic: Leader Mike, and Dona, Mary, Sue, Rita, Jim, Ruth, Heidi, Drew, Darleen, Mary, Glen (Jeremia's friend!), Tom from the Fort (the owner of this fine digital camera), Janet, and me: All in all, a very enjoyable time! BTW, to see Tom's uncut version of the trip in its finest (note: I cropped the photos he mailed me), see Tom's very fine Webpage.

Here's the ACIM Perennial group I hang with most Tuesday evenings - Jim, Melia, Brother Ben, Meryl, Jerry, new Jim, John, Goodwin, Tom, Farrokh, and minus Dan and Cheryl who couldn't be there that night (Nancy and Steve, and Liz the one taking the picture for me, just joined us):

Memorial Day Bolder Boulder, 10th consecutive run with a personal best!
6/22-24, Fat Tire Classic with my classic friends Jeff, Chris, Betsy, Sheryl, a nd It's Bill! Thanks to all that helped with the pledges and bring the American Red Cross to another successful fundraising year! Here's the "team" in front of the Winter Park Resort base ski lodge and at one of the first aid stations replenishing ourselves with orange slices: Next, soaking off the dust after our first hard day of biking; and then next morning, after an amazing breakfast, we're ready for another great day of fun: And lastly, a guy from FacMan that I met up with; and me feeling still pretty darn good after two days of grunting, YES!: Most definitely one of the highlights of the year! So after viewing all the fun, I want to see YOU all out there next year riding with me. JUST DO IT!

July 14-15, rainy CMC lead trip up to Forest Lakes. Wild river crossings with heavy backpacks required lots of help: Luckily there was enough dry wood to warm our butts: And after the rain, out came our abundant happy hour celebrating French Bastille Day, and plenty of smiles from Bob, coleader, Marilyn, Linda, Bette, Sandra, Doug, Fiona, Jess, Peter, Karen, Chris, and the photog: The next day, wet campers pose by the lower Forest Lake where we camped: Happy trails!

Colead Tom's Nebel Horn trip 8/8 after work with Paul, another Diana, Steve, and John?:

August 25, Dream Canyon hike and swim lead with the new coleader falling on some prickly pear, OUCH!: Enjoying one of the falls: What a great way to cool off...and right here in our back yard!

Happy 2002! Another year of assisting Tom in this year's Ski Mountaineering School for the tele clinic. Here participants and instructors brave the cold, blustery Jan. 13 atop Mayflower Gulch:

Now an annual event for me, March 2-4 was the CMC hut trip to Uncle Bud's with great friends old and new (Pat, Mike, Rita, Joan, Darla, Rob, Judith, Doug, Sara, Mary, Dona, Tom, Margie, Jim, and Leslie):

June 28-30, my third Fat Tire Classic. Thanks to the generosity of my pledge family and friends, I basically earned the bike shirt I'm wearing.
Here Doug and I prepare for a long day's bike ride. "Ready Doug, lift your feet!": The second aid station theme was America. I'm on tip toes: One of many teams, the Trail Sharks where Sharks get thirsty too: That lazy bum! Midway, Doug found a place for a quick snooze and reprieve from the hot sun: The last aid station and the one that won the best theme was Austin Power's Shagadelic and Too Cool Pad: After a day of warming up, Doug does a black, challenging trail Sunday. Not bad for his first FTC!: For Doug's pledgers who were expecting HIM to pay THEM if he didn't cross the finish line, this one's for you: The American Red Cross sure knows how to thank its pledgers. Thanks to each and every one of you for helping us out. Health and happiness to you all!
