High Voltage Electron Microscope Facility

The Boulder Laboratory for 3-D Fine Structure includes a JEOL JEM-1000 High Voltage EM operating at 500,000 to 1,000,000 volts. A tilt stage provides full stereo and tomographic capabilities. A high-resolution, slow-scan CCD camera is used for 3-D image analysis. The facility also includes two FEI Tecnai intermediate voltage electron microscopes operating at 200,000 and 300,000 volts.
