 Artist Statement

The great scientist Galileo, great-grandfather of  modern physics and mathematics, said, 'Philosophy is

written in this grand book,  the universe, in the language of mathematics, and its characters are

triangles, circles, and other geometric figures' In my art work I  metaphorically  investigate our chaotic

universe through Galileo's eyes, pondering its meanings and vivid colors, peaking at its symmetries,

variations, turbulences,   logical machines, and undiscovered  elements. My geometrical, dynamic,

atomic strings,  are mostly found or recycled everyday life objects.

Galileo also invented the telescope, a tool with which one can modify visual reality. In my art, I look at the

world as through Galileo's telescope, and see a greatly enlarged hectically moving   reality.

In this installation, by using a constellation of tents, I explore the shape of the universe.
