Research Overview
Research in our group focuses on the application of environmental microbiology to emerging engineering and health issues. Reaseach areas include bioaerosol characterization, inactivation of airborne pathogens, and microbially-induced concrete corrosion.
Hernandez Group
Diversity
Dr. Hernandez serves as Faculty Director for the Colorado Diversity Institute and the SMART program. These initiatives provide funding and research opportunities for students from underrepresented backgrounds.
