Graduate Research Assistant (MS Level) Openings:

I welcome interested MS students to join my research group as a graduate research assistant. However, I typically do not fund graduate research assistants at the MS level. I have several available projects for MS students to work on, and interested candidates are encouraged to contact me by e-mail.

Undergraduate Research Assistant Openings:

The Computational Mechanics and Geometry Laboratory (CMGLab) is currently seeking a motivated undergraduate student to assist with the development of new mesh generation and simulation technologies. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Designing a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for creating analysis-suitable geometries and meshes, assigning material parameters and boundary conditions, and visualizing simulation data.
  • Assisting with improving code efficiency and robustness.
  • Assisting with data visualization and analysis.

Work hours are flexible, and projects can (to a reasonable extent) be tailored to the educational and research interests of the student. The successful applicant will have a strong knowledge of MATLAB as well as a familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems.
