Educause, with NSF funding and participation from Internet2 and other organizations,
sponsored a workshop on August 12-13 on PKI and Security Issues for Higher

Internet2 is anticipating support from the NSF to run workshops and study
groups for best practices in deploying core middleware in higher education
and research. A copy of the proposal can be found here.
A middleware tutorial and a set of panel discussions are planned during
the Internet2 Fall meeting, on Monday October 11, 1999. Information will be
posted as it becomes available.
