Can't find a definition,
try the Dictionary
of Cell Biology.
For finding journal articles: use the National Library
of Medicine's PubMed
search engine. If you are a University of Colorado Student, you should be able
to directly download many articles as pdf files. (and read them
with Adobe
Acrobat Reader, which is free and downloadable.
When you view the PubMed record, just click on the journal link button. If you cannot download
the article for free, send an e-mail message to the Dean
of Libraries or the President of the University and express your dismay! For
searching about specific diseases, I have found the the
NIH's Healthfinder
site can be particularly useful.

The NIH has an Office
for Rare Diseases: this could be quite useful. Looking
for information on alternative medicine: start at Quackwatch.com
Search the Human
Gene Mutation Database! Mitochondria
and disease Lysosomal
storage diseases
