Research Interests:
My primary research interest lies in the area of organizational
communication between persons/teams/organizations and the
effects of technology on these communications. The importance of
communication in change management and in information systems
requirements definition are areas of particular interest.
The developer/user, consultant/client, teacher/learner, and
human/machine communication are critical to organizational systems. We
need to understand these interactions and the effects of
group support technology. Other specific interests include:
- Researching Human Aspects of Decision Making in an Electronic
Direct Access Stock Trading Environment
- Developing and Testing User Centric Design Approaches in
Electronic Commerce Applications
My preference is to explore research areas of interest through field
work and action research with real world practitioners and real
world problems. The challenge of working with messy, but real
tasks and sharing discoveries with persons and organizations that
can see practical value and application fascinates me.
