I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Geography, University of Colorado at Boulder. I obtained a BSc (2001) and a MSc (2002) degree in Forest Sciences from TU Dresden (Germany). In 2005 I finished my PhD in Geography at the University of Zurich / Federal Research Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape WSL, Switzerland.

my teaching
From 2000 to 2002 I was working as a tutorial lecturer at the Institute of Bioinformatics and Forest Growth, TU Dresden. In 2006/2007 I worked as co-lecturer at University of Zurich in Modeling Human-Environment Systems. At the moment I am teaching GIS & Programming (4303/5303) at UCB.
In 2000/2001 I was a research associate at the FCAP in Belem (Brazil) in collaboration with SUDAM and EMBRAPA. In 2001/2002 I worked as researcher at the Infoterra GmbH/ Astrium in Friedrichshafen (Germany). Between 2002 and 2005 I worked as Research Assistant at the Swiss Federal Research Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape (WSL). From 2005 I was affiliated with the Department of Geography at the University of Zurich as Senior Research Associate.
