A few pix from my June 2000 trip to Toronto to hang out with friends and go see Paul Gross in Hamlet at the Stratford Festival. I loved Toronto and want to go back again when I can spend more time there, and I'm kicking myself for not taking more pictures.

patrician grill #1
(l-r: Audra, Kellie, Chris, LaTonya)
At the Patrician Grill, which was used as a set for the DS episode "Victoria's Secret." The owner, Terry Pappas, loves to talk about being an extra. The Grill apparently is frequently used as a set for various television and film productions in Toronto. Yes, we were sitting in THE Booth. :-)

patrician grill #2
(l-r: Kellie, Audra, Chris, LaTonya and Terry)
Another shot of the Grill, this time outside, with the owner and extra-par-excellence, Terry.

garage pic
(l-r: Kellie, Steph, & Val)
An exciting view in the parking garage under the airport Mariott. We got moved there (the hotel, not the parking garage!) from our original hotel downtown when our reservation got lost. We were lucky to find a place to stay at all, since it was the same weekend as Toronto Pridefest, which is apparently the largest Gay Pride celebration in North America!
moose #1
(l-r: LaTonya, Moose, Audra)
Chicago has cows, Toronto has Meece. Mooses? Mice? Whatever. :-) A prehistoric Lascauxesque moose, posing politely.
moose #2
(l-r: LaTonya, Moose)
A pretty verdigis moose with gold maple leaves and an inquisitive LaTonya.
in Stratford
(l-r: Kellie, Chris, Kasha, LaTonya)
(Kellie's dress co-starring a gorgeous cashmere & silk shawl hand-knit by Judy Hardin.)
In Stratford, before the play. Beautiful little town, lovely river walk, great theatre, fabulous performance.
fannish behavior
(l-r: Juan Chioran, Kellie)
I'd love to claim this gentleman as a friend, but unfortunately he's just an extremely kind actor named Juan Chioran at the stage door following the performance. Mr. Chioran played 3 roles in Hamlet: The Ghost, The Player King, and The Gravedigger. He was without a doubt the second-best reason to see the play (yes, I am slightly prejudiced, I admit it), and when he and Paul were onstage together sparks definitely flew. Follow this link for pictures of Paul Gross at the stage door after Hamlet.
