Immersive Digital Design and Teaching
Environment for Fluid Dynamics

An EEF funded Project

To ease the analysis and visualization of internal and external flows this project is exploring the potential of the Lattice-Boltzmann Method (LBM) as a fluid analysis tools for undergraduate and graduate students. Students have access to various implementation of LBM, including a MATLAB code and PowerFlow by Exa, a commercial flow solver.

  • Please, contact Prof. Pingen (gpingen@eas.uccs.edu) for the MATLAB code.
  • Please, contact Prof. Maute (maute @colorado.edu) to get an account that allows you to run Powerflow.
  • The usage of PowerFlow is restricted to CU students working on course projects.
  • It is strongly recommended to go through the tutorial first before working on your specific problem
