I joined the CU Boulder faculty in January 2007 as an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science. My research and teaching interests address how states address the complexity of governing international trade and how states overcome the challenges that institutions governing international trade confront. More specifically, many of my projects address the political economy and the evolution of the multilateral trade institution—the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT)/World Trade Organization (WTO)—and of preferential trade agreements (PTAs).
