I taught an ENVS critical thinking course titled "Biotechnology and the Environment" in the Spring 2006. This course focused on the effects of biotechnology (e.g., genetically modified organisms) on the environment.

I also taught an ENVS and GEOL graduate course called "Molecular to Global Biogeochemistry" with Alan Townsend in the Fall 2006. This class focused on the biology of microorganisms and links to biogeochemical cycles. Similarly, I taught an ENVS graduate seminar called "The Evolution of Earth's Biogeochemical Cycles.

I taught EBIO "General Biology" in 2007 and 2008.

I teach an ENVS critical thinking course titled "Rethinking Hurricane Katrina". This course will be offered again in the spring of 2010 (course flier).
