1st Meeting of the semester is Tuesday, Sept. 2nd at 5:30 pm in room BESC 380. Sverre Henriksen is the guest speaker. The talk is entitled: Shelf edge and shoreline trajectories; a dynamic approach to stratigraphic analysis. Examples from offshore Norway, Brazil, Venezuela and Niger Delta.

Petroleum-company recruiting through our department (September and October). See Barbara Amaral to sign up for an interview. Generally this is for graduate students, but some companies will meet with upper-level undergraduate students. She will have the sheets near her desk.

L. Austin Weeks Undergraduate Student Grant ($500 to the student; $500 to the AAPG Student Chapter) Click here for info on the AAPG L. Austin Weeks Grant This grant is an automatic grant that is awarded to each “ACTIVE” AAPG Chapter. We need undergrads that are interested to complete a brief “application” to be considered for this grant.
