Environmental Political Theory
There are a variety of resources on the web that may be of interest to EPT scholars, and I've attempted to gather them together here. To have a site added to this directory or to report a dead link, contact me.
The Center for Digital Discourse and Culture at Virginia Tech hosts the most comprehensive EPT website, complete with a bibliography, links to syllabi and papers in the area, and other information.
The International Society for Environmental Ethics page contains links to various resources on environmental philosophy, including links to books, papers, syllabi, calls for papers, and a listserv for the society.
John Meyer (Humboldt State) manages a website with links to several of his recent papers as well as information on joining the EPT listserv.
David Schlosberg (Northern Arizona) maintains a webpage with links to his numerous articles and books on EPT-related topics.
Tim Luke (Virgina Tech) links a wide variety of his unpublished papers, as well as other EPT-related resources, to his homepage.
Andrew Dobson (Keele, UK) has an eponymous site with a wide variety of links to his scholarly research as well as texts about political activism.
Andrew Biro (Acadia) links a variety of published papers in EPT as well as syllabi and information about a recent workshop that he organized.
Most general journals in political theory and philosophy are open to publishing articles on environmental topics, but the following specialize in areas relevant to EPT research.
Proposals are now being accepted for participation in the EPT section at the 2009 Western Political Science Association annual meeting, to be held March 19-21 in Vancouver BC. The deadline for proposals is September 19. For more details, see the WPSA meeting site. The participation form can be found here.
Steve Vanderheiden is Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Having worked in EPT for the past decade (including graduate school), he decided that a website devoted to the subject area might help others who share his interest to find resources they need to cultivate their interests and advance the field. His webpage can be found here.
