I'm an assistant professor at the University of Colorado at Boulder. My research interests involve international conflict, multiactor bargaining, and international institutions. Current research projects examine (1) the effects of leadership turnover on the occurrence of war, (2) crisis bargaining through multilateral coalitions, (3) the behavior and design of "nonsovereign" courts, and (4) the role of states and "stateness" in the maintenance of international order.
