DATE: August 28, 2006 SUBJECT: Academic honesty policy We realize that students frequently help each other over hurdles while they are solving problems, and we encourage this. However it is forbidden for students to take and/or use the work of any other individual (or group), or give their own work to another student (or group). This is unethical and may be treated more severely than you may have experienced in the past. Asking another student for a helpful suggestion, or giving such a suggestion, will not constitute such an incident; however, using another person's work, or allowing another student to use your work, will be considered a dishonest act. Any discovered incident of academic dishonesty will lead to an automatic F for this course and a report to the College of Engineering, a copy of which will be placed in the student's permanent file. For more information, see the Student Honor Code: http://www.colorado.edu/academics/honorcode or the College of Engineering's Academic Honesty Advising Guidelines: http://www.colorado.edu/engineering/ar\_ugradadvising.html
