You Tube
Type in "airship" or "blimp" or "Zeppelin" to
see a plethora of LTA videos -- an amazing visual resource.
Videos range widely in quality. Quite often, the best are
usually to be seen at corporate websites but You Tube is
the veritable cornucopia. Addictive.

Campus ftp issues resolved
And you thought we only had listserv problems. I've been
unable to update this site for a few months while historic
airship events -- most notably the above item -- have been
occurring. I will attempt some retrospective updates.

AIRSHIP-listserv problem resolved
Rounds of email to the campus IT people -- and their discovery
that we were not alone with this issue -- resulted in a
patch and subsequent fix. Our server is up and running.

AIRSHIP-listserv problem encountered
Somewhere around 21 February 2008, the local campus listserver
went wacko. I contacted the local ITS department and described
the problem to them. They came up with a solution. Go ahead
and give a try:
"186 of 355 of the subscribers have their mailmode
set to postpone. This will store all of
the email and will send them apon resetting their mailmode
to ack. This is to prevent messages from
accumulating during vacations and may account for a large
portion of the members from not receiving emails.
By sending, from the recipient, the message with no subject
to
listproc@lists.colorado.edu
with the only content
set airship-list mail ack
will set this back to normal sending and receiving."
Go ahead and give it a try.
I will be posting updates here until we get the list up
and moving.
