The seminar will be held on the campus of the University of Colorado at Boulder. Nestled at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, surrounded by open space and minutes from mountain trails, Boulder provides an ideal environment to wrestle with the abstruse language of Daoist scriptures. We will work hard during the weekdays, but you will have weekends to explore the mountains or the neighboring communities. There are diverse opportunities for hiking, biking, rock climbing, tubing, rafting, horseback riding, etc., and an excellent selection of restaurants to replenish you after exertion. During summer evenings, the Boulder Shakespeare Festival performs on campus.
We have arranged for rooms in the Kittredge Complex on campus. We expect a shared room with partial board to cost around $1150 for the three-week seminar; a private room would run around $1800. There is a $2700 stipend for each participant to help defer travel and lodging costs.
