The city of Rhodes is famous for its cats. The stray, feral and skeptical breeds of calico and solid mix. They often appear as stoic as their ancient guardians, the Greek Gods, but as quick to disappear if you want “too close a shot.” There are rumors that they are a “tourist thing,” and in the winter are left to die. But then, if you look closely you’ll see, it is always the greeks who feed and pamper them.
