While working in New York City, I collected discarded shipping pallets and modified them with inlaid mother-of-pearl using patterns gleaned from traditional Filipino furniture. Subsequently, I reintroduced them to the various sites where I originally found them, including areas behind urban shops, in alleys, and propped up against buildings along sidewalks.
