    Testing policy:

There will be three tests and a final. The lowest test score will be dropped before calculating the grades for the course. Tests will be based on lecture material. Reading assignments are meant to clarify material presented in lecture.

    Other policies:

Lecture attendance is not compulsory, but strongly encouraged. You are responsible for lecture material, all material posted on the web, and any announcements concerning changes in schedule, etc. that may be made in lecture.

There will be NO excused exams. If you miss an exam, you will be required to take the comprehensive final and will not be permitted to drop the lowest score. A minimum of 3 exams must be taken. NO SPECIAL OR MAKE-UP EXAMINATIONS WILL BE SCHEDULED FOR ANY STUDENT.

LAB GRADES: Lab counts as 25% of the overall course grade. The grade distribution (percentage of students in a given section that will receive each letter grade) will be similar among sections. That is, a section with lower mean scores on individual exams will not be penalized, but will have the same final grade distribution as other sections.
