Host-plant associations: Panicum virgatum, Sporobolus spp., Cynodon dactylon, Eragrostis curvula (Whitcomb and Hicks 1988a), and Calamovilfa brevipilis.

Range of collection dates: 19 June–27 September in Colorado; August to November in New Hampshire (Chandler and Hamilton 2017).

Elevation range (approximate): sea level (East Coast & south Texas) to at least 5400 ft (Colorado).

Sources of Distribution Data: Published accounts, internet resources, specimens in the collections of the United States National Museum, the Mississippi Entomological Museum at Mississippi State University, the University of Colorado Natural History Museum, and unpublished records from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (Rich Henderson, personal communication, 1998), and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.  

Comments: Flexamia atlantica has also been reported from Ohio (Osborn and Knull 1947a).
