Host-plant associations:  Blowout grass (Redfieldia flexuosa) is the host. Also recorded from Calamovilfa longifolia and Muhlenbergia pungens (Lowry & Blocker 1987, Whitcomb & Hicks 1988). See the BONAP's North American Plant Atlas for their distributions north of Mexico.

Range of collection dates: 12 June–9 August

Elevation range (approximate): ‍2580–4660 ft.
