Host-plant associations: On Juncus dudleyi in eastern North America (Bess and Hamilton 1999a). In western North America, found on Muhlenbergia asperifolia. Also reported from Distichlis spicata, Juncus tenuis, Cyndon dactylon, Zoysia japonica, Poa pratensis and Eragrostis curvula (Whitcomb and Hicks 1988a).

Range of collection dates: 30 May–20 September in Illinois (DeLong 1948a); throughout year in south-east Texas (Fletcher 1930a).

Elevation range (approximate): 20–7660 feet.

Comments: Flexamia inflata was listed from Florida by Osborn (1921a:10) and along the east coast from New York to Florida (DeLong 1926d) but the two subsequent revisions of Flexamia (Young and Beirne 1958a, Whitcomb and Hicks 1988a) make no mention of records south of Maryland and northern Virginia, respectively. Also reported from unspecified localities in Arizona (Young and Beirne 1958a), British Columbia, and Saskatchewan (Whitcomb and Hicks 1988a) but not plotted here.
