Air Pollution Health Effects

This study is a joint project between CU-Boulder and the National Jewish Health Center in Denver, Colorado. Currently, we have two low-volume samplers stationed at National Jewish, and two high-volume samplers located at nearby Palmer Elementary School. Each day, inorganic and organic particulate matter is collected on filters and later weighed and analyzed. Over the five years that we are conducting this study, we will compare ambient particulate matter with cases of respiratory diseases at National Jewish.
