About Me

I am an assistant professor of philosophy at Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio. I have a bachelor's degree from Ashland University, a master's degree from the University of Missouri–St. Louis, and a doctoral degree from the University of Colorado Boulder. I specialize in applied ethics (esp. environmental ethics), normative ethics, and metaethics. I also have teaching competencies in philosophy of law, political philosophy, philosophy of religion, epistemology, early modern philosophy, and logic.

My wife, Anne Marie, and I have three children, Junia, Quin, and Avila. When I am not doing philosophy, I enjoy spending time with them, visiting with friends, playing basketball, and taking photos.
