It may surprise some of you to see Zeppelin listed here. The Zeppelin Company did not end with the demise of the Hindenburg. It survived WWII and today primarily manufactures heavy-duty machinery. In late 1997 they flew their first airship since 1940. The Zeppelin NT is certified and flying. Production continues. The dream is alive.

Perhaps in a category of its own, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company "recycles" its fleet of airships, refurbishing, renewing and rebuilding their existing blimps every couple of years. GTR does not build "new" blimps, though. The former Goodyear Aerospace Corporation, now owned by Lockheed-Martin, has the rights to build new airships, but doesn't have any customers to warrant construction at this time. 2013: Goodyear will be flying Zeppelin NTs.
