“Any change was in the ends of the centre”

Gertrude Stein

I've taught at the University of Colorado since 1980 as an Instructor, and a Senior Instructor since 1990.  My recent activities include teaching Honors courses in Modern Literature and Shakespeare with my two departments, and teaching the Master Poetry Class for the National Collegiate Honors Council conference annually since 2007.  I have done a number of artist residencies in the last few years in Canada, Spain, Iceland, Portugal, and Greece.  And have plans for another this spring in Tasmania.

My poetry has been published in a number of online journals and print magazines, including The Atlantic Monthly, Poetry magazine, and The North American Review; and last year I published a hundred and eighty poems, plus a number of translated from the Spanish.  Current links are available below.
