Life Practice
"So it is!"
Change what you can but don't resist what you can't change.
A lot of human suffering arises from resisting what we can't change,
like the long line in front of us at the grocery store, traffic lights
when we're in a hurry, and, of course, aging. When we're aware of something
we want to change but can't, we can use the practice "So
it is!" This practice acknowledges the way it is and the way
it will be. By practicing "So it is!" in
situations where we have no power to change things, we'll experience
a reduction of stress which will increase our contentment and happiness.
