"I'm good enough!"
Each day we go on a roller coaster ride as our moods
swing up and then take a dive. Swing up, take a dive. Swing up, take
a dive. What is creating this roller coaster existence? The size of
our egos are expanding and contracting, depending on compliments and
criticisms, successes and failures, good news and bad news. When a situation
causes our ego to deflate, we may feel sad or even fall into a depression.
The way to stop these deflations is the practice "I'm
good enough!" This practice acknowledges that, while we're not
perfect, we are good enough! This practice can help anyone out of an
ego tail spin. It's like a net that catches us in freefall so we can
recover our balance, make a conscious choice, and restore our ego's
size to "just right," which is not too big and not too little.
