Question 24: "One of the biggest frustrations of my life is that no one understands me. This makes me mad and sometimes depressed. What's wrong with people anyway?"

Kiro:

You think understanding should be easy,
but it is hardest thing.

People are not simple,
but very complicated.

From one moment to another,
their ideas and emotions change.

They cannot easily read each other's minds and emotions,
so they become uncertain and confused about each other.

Misunderstanding, rather than understanding,
is most common thing between people.

Instead of thinking others should understand you,
seek to cultivate understanding.

To understand others better,
ask questions to get information about them.

Learn to listen carefully,
so you will hear what they tell you.

To help others understand you better,
give more information about yourself.

Learn to speak more fully about your feelings and ideas,
so others will know you at deeper levels.

When you listen more carefully and speak more fully,
you will see understanding grow.
