Question 27: "I'm often disgusted by people. They do things that are so rude, stupid, and hurtful, I can't believe it. When this happens, I get upset and depressed. What do you suggest?"

Kiro:

When you take yourself, others, and life too seriously,
you are taking your ideals too seriously.

Notice how your ideals about others make you unhappy,
then laugh out loud.

Keep using this laughing practice until you realize
how your high ideals make you suffer.

When you see how they make you suffer,
change them with balance in mind.

When you create ideals that are not too high or too low,
you will find place where softer judgment lives.

As you soften your judgment of others,
you will be less severe with yourself.

When judgment becomes softer,
anger will stop crying out.

When anger is quiet,
happiness will begin to sing.
