Question 33: "A friend told me recently that I love to be right about everything. This really made me mad. Later, when I'd calmed down, I realized that my reaction was proof for her point. I wanted to be right. I know this isn't very healthy, since I feel out of control about it. Why do I do this?"

Kiro:

Being right is your way of feeling big,
so you can feel good about yourself.

Wanting to be right,
you will spend countless hours arguing.

You may even distort facts to win arguments,
because being right dominates you.

When being right is too dominant,
you lose important power.

What is that power?
To declare that you are wrong.

When you are free to be right and to be wrong,
you will attain balance.

In balance, people will start listening to you
rather than pushing against you to make you wrong.

Eventually, being right will lose its appeal
and being happy will gain accendance.
