Question 5: "I'm the shy type, so I have a hard time talking to others, especially strangers. In groups, I feel out of place. What should quiet people know in order to get out of this?"

Kiro:

Quiet people tend to ask many questions
to keep attention on others.

They make few statements
about themselves to avoid attention.

Asking questions and not making statements is their
best defense against explosure.

Why do they avoid explosure?
They are afraid of being found out.

They believe that, when people find out who they are,
they will be rejected.

To avoid rejection,
they become quiet.

While this strategy protects them,
it comes with two big problems.

By holding back from expressing themselves,
others do not get to know them.

By holding back,
they do not get to know themselves.

To achieve more balance, they could ask fewer questions
and speak more deeply about themselves.

Knowing they can live with rejection
will help them make this shift.
